Heater Treater Customer Feedback
We are very focused on customer satisfaction and take great pride in the excellent feedback that we receive from our customers. This is a selection of some of the notes we have received. We do get email saying "you guys sound too good to be true...you must be a scam". This is generally the case on the internet, but we are for real and our engineering team works very hard to insure that our products meet and exceed all of our claims.
Please feel free to check our HeaterTreater feedback on Ebay for a larger sample. Note that we don't control Ebay feedback. We have a 100% positive feedback record as of this writing. Of course we'll eventually find someone that can't be satisfied regardless of product quality or service and will ding our EBAY rating just for spite. But for now, our feedback is perfect.
Hello Heater Treater!
I bought your combo kit
HeaterTreater Re-circ and Blend door Fixes
(270204770885) and I am writing to tell you that I am blown away at how well you
have put this repair together to fix a very poor design by Jeep. Your
attention to detail right down to the beefed up collars for the
actuator motors is just SO impressive.
The instruction sheet that you provide was extremely helpful. I really
appreciated the parts in it where you instruct on what not to do, and
what to be careful of. I saved SO MUCH MONEY using your kits by, first,
not paying the dealer exorbitant fees for the repair, second, not
having to rent a car while they took their time, and third, having the
know how instructions to do it myself. The replacement doors that
you have designed fit like a glove.
I am one VERY happy, and VERY appreciative customer.
Thank you!
JOEY
FULLERTON,
Chris,
It is very rare that I make any
type of purchase that I truly believe I got my money’s worth but this heatertreater
was just that and more! Not only did it fix the problem with my heater but it saved
me several hundred dollars and the fix is better that what the manufacturer
would have done which I am sure is replace the busted part with the same cheap
part that broke in the first place. The instructions were clear, the video was
detailed and gave me the confidence to do it myself which I did in under an
hour!
Thanks again!
hi mate, just a quick email to thank you for the heatertreater, just
fitted it and works perfect, i now have heat in Australia after a year
without and is especially important as my wife is due to have baby next
month. also mate just to let you know the drivers side temp control
works both sides on my rhd jeep so no need to swap wires around. thanks
again.
Heater treater folks;
I have to let you know, I hate planned obsolesence!!! There is no way that any engineer at Ford
can convenience me that they DID NOT know that the heater blend door would eventually fail. I have just
completed my repair and I'm more than satisified. Took me longer to get everything (heater ducts, control
module etc.) out of the way, than to do the actual repair. It has been one month and 14 inches of snow since
I last had heat. You saved me $1200.00 and 2-3 days with out my truck. The local dealership does not get
in any kind of a hurry, and will tell you there is no way to repair the heater without removing the entire dash.
You have made a believer out of me. Many of my friends and coworkers drive Ford products and I will be
telling them all what to watch out for and how to repair it. Anybody can do this if they have any kind of
mechanical skills. Thanks again for saving me $$$$. Sincerely Tony
Hi Chris and the other HeaterTreater folks,
I'm about as
non-mechanically inclined as they come. My wife gets a worried look
every time I pick up a tool. So it was with some trepidation that I
ordered a HeaterTreater for my '97 Ford Ranger, which was exhibiting
the usual symptoms of a broken blend door. I was sure that I'd be the
guy who couldn't complete the repair, spoiling your spotless record.
The mechanic I use diagnosed the problem and quoted me a price of
$1,750 for the repair, which I really, really didn't want to have to
pay.
So my brother pointed me to HeaterTreater.net. I read the information that described the problem exactly, and I also read all the rave reviews from satisfied HeaterTreater.net
customers. Convinced that you could help, and convinced that I'd be
saving a ton of money in the process, I ordered a HeaterTreater.
The repair took me about four hours, and most of that was spent getting
the actuator motor unit installed again. The directions were great, and
even a doofus like me successfully managed to make the repair. I'm so
happy that I didn't spoil your perfect record. And now I have a newly
purchased Durabuilt rotary tool, which I didn't have before now. Cool.
My truck now has perfect temperature control, thanks to HeaterTreater.
I can't thank you all enough for giving me the means to make this
repair, and for giving me confidence to try to do more stuff with tools
in the future. (And there's my wife, getting that worried look again.)
If I ever have the chance to steer some business your way, I promise to
do that. Thank you from another satisfied HeaterTreater customer!
Don
Not sure if this is where to send customer feedback, but I must tell you how very happy I am.
I
ordered the Heater Treater for my ’02 Jeep Grand Cherokee with a little
doubt in my mind. Once we got the part the instructions seemed a bit
more complicated than we expected. When we were ready to attack the
project we watched
the
You Tube videos……WOW. With the video you almost don’t need the
instructions at all. Worked just like you said it would!! This has been
the best internet purchase we have ever made. We will be telling
everyone we know about
your product. Easy installation with exceptional results!!!! Definitely worth the price, saved us at least $1500. Thanks!
Chris,
Just a note to let you know my feelings:
Thanks
for an excellent product. The installation is as easy as your website
says it is. It took 1.5 hours from start to finish. If I had to do
another, I could do it in about an hour. I used a dremel with a
flexible extension and a cutting drill bit, not the cutting wheel. I
drilled out the pattern first and then cut. The directions are well
thought out and I wouldn’t change a thing.
I called a Jeep dealer a month ago; they gave me a price over $2k.
Thanks again. Steve
Yes, yet another totally satisfied customer! We
had no way of affording the $1000 + fix to my 2000 Windstar heck that
is about 25% of it’s darn value…. The blend door fixed the problem and
I can now drive in all seasons.
Finally have heat which is required here in Pennsylvania. I cannot
thank you enough. Was so much eaiser getting it in than out (had
problems with that initially). Hubby is quite pleased and recommends
you to everyone with the same problem.
Thank you again and blessings to you and your family.
I wasn't sure where to post this so I figured you could paste this up on your comments if needed. My wife has been without heat in her Jeep Grand Cherokee for the past 3 or so years (pretty much the whole time we've owned the car). A do-it-yourself friend of ours heard of our problem and did a little research and said ya'lls name is what kept coming up. He messaged me the link, we made the purchase and within 2 hrs. of work we had heat in her Jeep the first time in three years. Just in time before the winter front too. Thank you guys for making it so easy and at such a great price. Our car and my wife and I thank you guys. Anyone reading this I encourage you to buy this product. It works and it only takes a short time to do! I have never been a do-it-yourself guy and was really hesitant to try it at all. But the instructions were thorough and nothing was lacking. Again thanks so much for the tools and the smarts to give us the Heater Treater.
Chris,
Wow!!
Your blend door fix on my Jeep went great. It took right at an hour but
I probably spent a little more time on clean up. I was really impressed
on your service and your product. The directions with pictures were so
simple to follow. And the little bag of goodies, which were a nice
surprise, was of good quality material. It’s nice to know there are
still honest people with an honest product out there. I will pass this
information along.
F150 Blend
Door/ happy! happy! happy! I
want to thank you again for your product.
My mechanic was really happy and impressed! It took him 2 hours to get
the job done, which is what I expected, going by the step by step instruction
provided with the hardware. Alot of time
and money saved and I can't thank you enough.
I now have heat and my ac again.
I believe that my mechanic sent you an email also, which verified how
happy and pleased he was with my purchase.
Everything that was needed was included and nothing was missing, as
sometimes happens with other purchases.
My mechanic kept thanking me for finding you on the web. I came across your web site looking for an
alternative to purchasing a $350-something blend door kit from a dealer and
paying 7-8 hours (or more) labor costs.
I would have paid over a $1000 easy to have my truck fixed and putting
everything back together, hooking everthing back up, replacing fluids,
recharging the ac if necessary, and more junk that seemed completely
unnecessary just so myself
I cannot begin to tell you how THRILLED I am with Heatertreater.
I am a novice car gal, and I was able to EASILY install it and get
my heat again thanks to the instructions. I literally just sat in
my warm car and cried. I have a 19 month old that will be riding in my
car and now I have no worries about the heat at all. Thanks for
making my life a heck of a lot better this winter!
Up to now Austin was pretty well only on my map on account of the Armadillo World Headquarters.
Chris,
Just wanted to thank you for your quick shipping of my
Jeep GC belnds door kit. It arrived in only a couple of days. I was a
little nervous about cutting into my wifes jeep, but your instructions
with pictures worked great..... It took me about two hours because I
was very cautious about each step. Plus I had to go get a 9Volt
battery from the store. Everything came out and went in just like your
instructions said it would. Had to disconnect the battery to get it to
reset, but after that, I have HOT air in the car. WOW, my wife wont
need her blanket anymore.
Thank You very much...
Nate
Cherokee 4 years ago by removing the dashboard myself-I then
understood why the labor costs are about $1500, and vowed never to do
that job again. So what a total amazement when your repair kit worked
exactly as described on my current 2004 Limited and with about an hour
of work! No glitches, and no problem getting the set screws tightened!
They should have hired you to design their system in the first place.
Thanks again!!

Heater Treater:
I just wanted to say a HUGE Thank You! For the site, the product and the instructions. I Iive in
I
was still not completely sure what the problem was, so I sent off an
e-mail to confirm my thoughts about the problem, and you confirmed it
was my Re-Circ door. I ordered the door, in came within two days and I
installed it tonight, and what is “funny” it was exactly like many on
the Dodge Forum had said and what your web site said, the door axle had
broken and it was laying on the huge blower vent blocking the air from
coming through!
I
am a big guy with large hands and it took some patience, which I am
short on many times, and some finessing with my tools, hands and my
daughter holding the flashlight to assist me seeing what I was doing…..
but what a difference! It’s like I have a new truck again! Total time
was about two hours as I had to take some breaks in this heat, but it
works beautifully! Thanks again!
Its a FESTIVUS MIRACLE.
I have heat in
Hi Chris, I received it today I just wanted to say thanks alot you didn't have to do that I really appreciate it and the fix is great and so simple to do. It seems like I fixed one persons jeep and they told there friend and now everyone wants there jeep fixed . I will be ordering another one here shortly again.
Thanks for everything
when did you guys send this out . im up here in
I ordered your product for my daughter's F-150, followed the installation procedures and got the A/C working great. Ford wanted to charge me $1600, no way I was going to spend that money, all Ford had to do is design the system with an access panel to replace the blend door in case of a failure.
You have a great solution, it works great, it took me a couple of hours to finish, half of that time was spent removing that silly diverter vent, once that was out everything went very smooth………..It felt so great.
Thank you so much.
Roland
Worked a treat! bit fiddly and being a right hand drive Jeep, some of the pics and instructions had to be thought about. Took just over the hour Thanks - you saved me from paying a lot of money to Jeep! Happy holidays
Hey
I just wanted to let you all know that I order one last week and it works
great, The instruction was great, I am a woman and I put my door in my heater
in about 2 hours, It did take me a bit longer but got it done and it works
great,
Thank You so much, you saved me hundards of dollers, the shop wanted over
$900.00 to fix the heater, know one could even tell anyting was done to my
Ford.
Linda
Thank you for sending me the unit so fast. I successfully put it in my
Jeep today. Your directions are flawless. They are easy to follow and
very detailed, you really put a lot of thought into them. I found the
pictures very helpful.
My neighbors came over and were very impressed with your product. They
were also impressed with the way I was able to install it myself and
save the money and hassle of having to have someone else do it.
If you ever need another testimonial I would love to give one for you.
You have created a great product. I can see someone making a business
of installing your product for a lesser cost for those who are not
mechanically inclined to do the installation themselves.
Thank you for all of your help. I truely appreciate it.
I can now keep warm because of you.
Thank you and happy holidays :)
Mr. Allen,
I just want to thank you soooooooo much for this fix! it’s wonderful to
have a cool car again! and at a great price! My husband didn’t complain
about the install, so all is great!
Thanks again!
Lori
Just want to say thanks for all the help on this. My mom just bought it for me for my Christmas present.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I will be able to install it
myself. I'm pretty mechanical and I have a dremel that I use regularly.
I love that tool it is so useful.
Thanks again and I look forward to receiving it because I am tired of being cold and I want to make it to the snow this season.
Happy Holidays!
Thanks for your bullet proof HeaterTreater solution for my 2002 Jeep Cherokee Limited. The install took me about 2 hours, and the system now works flawlessly. I am extremely impressed with your solution to that plastic crap used by Chrysler !
We ordered the HT from you about 2 weeks ago, and it arrived here in
I bought a blend door kit from you earlier this month, which arrived a few days later. Thanks for the fast delivery. My problem now is that the instructions sheet you sent with the part has met an untimely demise in the jaws of a six-month-old German Shepherd. I've got two questions for you:
Can I get you to email or fax me the instruction sheet? I prefer e-mail, but either will work. (Fax # is xxxxxxxxxxx.)
Would you be interested in a six-month-old German Shepherd?
Chris, Chris, Chris !!!
What a fantastic invention "HeaterTreater" fix !!!
You saved me over $1500 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The Chrysler dealer gave me a quote of $1800 to replace the broken blend heater doors.
By following the simplified instruction & diagrams, it took me just
under two hours to install the kit. At first your some what
hesitant cutting into the housing. Once you've done this your
confidence level rises !
If I were going to install a second "HeaterTreater" fix kit it would take me less than half an hour.
I am definitely going to promote your product to all existing Jeep owners.
Thank you once again for this 'FANTASTIC' solution !

You guys are great! The product is awesome,
shipping was fast. I bought it late sunday night, received it yesterday and
installed it the same day. I didnt have heat or air conditioning but now I do!!
I also received a $1500 quote but you guys definitely saved the day. THANK YOU
SO MUCH, I KNOW OTHER PEOPLE WITH GC'S AND I'LL DEFINITELY TELL THEM ABOUT YOUR
PRODUCT IF THEIR HEAT/AIR FAILS. THANKS
cashxxxx
Hi Chris:
Thank you, thank you, thank
you!
I installed your single
control kit Sunday morning and it works GREAT! No problems at all. In fact it
was just in time. Our weather took a nose dive last night. The temperature
this morning was 1 degree here in southern Indiana. I was surprised to discover
on my way to work that I had to turn the fan down because I was
getting too hot!
I've attached a picture
of the failed blend door. It broke apart at the pivot point where the
white plastic piece fits in. If you look close at the other door (driver's
side) you can see small cracks forming. It was only a matter of time till that
failed as well. Feel free to use the picture if you want.
I can't tell you how glad
I am that you had the drive and intelligence to make a difference in this
world. Your insight blows the Chrysler design engineers out of
the water! "Bravo Zulu".
Any way, thanks again,
I'm going to pass the word around on your products.
Take care and be well.

I am happy to contribute to your continued 100% success
rate! I ordered the Expediton blend door kit expecting a door.
Instead I received the 9 volt tester, a cutting bit (yeah!), and the
metal duct tape. That was a great surprise. I was a bit apprehensive
about doing the job, but I jumped in with both feet and along with your
instructions and your videos on You Tube, I did it!! I am so giddy
with myself - I keep telling my wife and kids how happy I am (to have
saved over $1000). Plus I got to buy a new rotary tool (Target) and
swiveling ratchet (Harbor Freight). Both worked great. THANK YOU for a great product
and for helping me "Just say no!" to the dealers' legalized robbery. I
only have one matter that needs attention: I did not receive the
sticker, and would be PROUD to put it in my glovebox. Please send one
to complete my HeaterTreater experience. THANK YOU, again!
Steve
Hey Chris,
I have heat!! The
kit was perfect, it took a little longer than 45 minutes but this was my first
(and hopefully last) time through. Your directions were great, and the
video was very helpful. I wish I could have left a longer message singing
your praises but ebay limits us to 80 characters. Thanks again for all
your help with the shipping and for designing an excellent product.
John
Chris. its no wonder that you have the perfect feedback record that you have. Even if your part doesnt do the job rest assured that I will consider it miss diagnosis on my part and that I would need it at some point anyway. Thanks for the help and concern and know that you will get a rave revue from me. Ship it. Jim
Dear texster68,
Thanks alot it saved me alot of money. It was very simple to install and my
wife loves me again..lol

To: HeaterTreater,
As a purchaser of a
pre-owned 2002 Jeep GC Limited, I was surprised to learn of the common failures
of its HVAC system…low heat, low a/c, limited ventilation, etc. In the
absence of a manufacturer's recall, the dealers quoted prices upwards of $1,800
for the repairs! Thank Almighty for finding HeaterTreater!
Having now purchased and installed their OEM repair kits for both the re-circ
door and dual control blend doors, I discovered everything was exact with
easy-to-follow directions and illustrations. The components were of very
high quality and the customer support was superb making it a great value.
My HVAC system is now performing like new and I AM AN EXTREMELY PLEASED
CUSTOMER! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND HEATER-TREATER for anyone that can
read, follow instructions, and turn a wrench or screwdriver…(or at least has a
friend that can)!
Murray
Thanks for your
product. I saved over $1000.00 and my AC is working again! In South
Florida you need AC or you will melt. The two piece design made installation
very easy, once I had the guts to cut through the heater/AC plenum. The
stainless steel components will certainly outlast this vehicle; I was shocked
when I saw how cheaply the OEM door was made. I have a dozen screws left
over and I dremmeled through my glove box light wires but everything is back
together and working great. Anyone with a bit of mechanical aptitude and
some basic tools can do this. The most difficult part of this whole
process was removing and reinstalling the vent assembly below the actuator
motor. I finally dremmeled off the top of the oval (center) connecting
vent on the assembly and pried it out on the drivers side.
Thanks again, I can and
will highly recommend your product to anyone.
Geoff
Chris,
I recently bought and installed the Heater Treater Pro Blend Door
Fix (Dual Control) for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. As mentioned in
the write-up on this product, the steps and installation process for this
product were time consuming but worth the effort. I was able to remove the dash
assembly without removing or disconnecting the steering wheel which saved
time. The axles for the Re-Circ and blend doors were broken, and the
restraining tab was bending due to fatigue. When it was done, the
heat worked (still works), there are no rattling sounds under the dash and the
3 extra screws were thrown away!
I would recommend this product to anyone, the quality of the
product will out last any replacement blend door from Jeep!
Thank you for your product and support, I am now ready for the
Minnesota winter!
Brian
I performed the install of the recirc' door and the dual-control
blend doors on my 2003 Jeep GCL. (eBay item=270276599139)
I did it as two discrete jobs as you suggested. The recirc door
install was a pain, but the savings was well worth the trouble. The blend
doors, which I did after the recirc door was pretty easy by comparison. Both of
your products work perfectly....and my wife is very pleased to have heat again.
thanks!
Regards,
dmm
I just finished installing your blend door on a 1997 ford ranger.
It took me 2 and 1/4 hours to complete for a couple reasons.
1. I'm a big guy and not much room in the ranger.
2. I could not get the battery (new) to move the acurator
following the directions and then trying different pins. so I took that
apart twice trying to get it in the right spot.
3. a peace of the broken door got down in the spot the
"bullet" goes in.
Tried duct tape to get a hold of it a couple times. Then drilled a
small hole in the bottom pushed the peace up with a small allen wrech while
holding the tape on the inside. Finally!!!!!
Other then the acturator part, it worked as advertised!
My son is happy to have heat and more importantly defrost in his
truck!
I have a 1999 Ford F150 that has only heat...that one will be
next..being winter and having heat I'm not to worried about it....but watch for
my order.
I wish I would have found this earlier, it is the greatest after
market fix I have ever done..
Dealer charged my son 86 dollars to to tell him it was going to
cost $590 for the "box" or $900 to replace the box and heater
core....he was this close " to paying. when I found your fix on a Ford
"dyi" site. Thanks for the FANTASTIC fix.
Feel free to use all or part of this letter as testimonial or
advertising.
Dan
Just a quick note to
express my appreciation for your well thought out product line.
Yesterday I installed the JGC Dual control Blend door fix. Took about 4
hours total, but I'm a cynic by nature and was double checking your
instructions every step of the way. I was very impressed with the fit and
tolerance of the kit, and the creative solution to mounting a second motor over
the first to avoid digging behind the heater baffle for the second motor.
Only an engineer could think out a solution to this degree, and I'm glad
you did. Saved me time and money to avoid the alternative.
All in all, another success story, and would be happy to consult
or install this for anyone who needed help out here in the Southern California
area if you needed some local assurance for anyone.
Hope you make a mint on this
Lance
Chris,
I would just like to
send a note to say how easy it was to install your product! It took me about 45
minutes, and having everything included made it that much easier. It works
perfectly, and saved me hundreds of dollars.
Thanks again!

Hey, just wanted to pass
on a message of thanks for such a good product.
I own a 2001 Jeep
Cherokee which had no hot air due to the blend door problem. My wife drives the
jeep normally and its -100c over here at the moment - so you can
image the grief I was getting to sort it out!!!
I fitted the part this
week and it does exactly what you said – works a treat J
Thanks again

To Whom It May Concern:
If you have any doubts about whether or not to purchase this product, forget
about it. I recently purchased this product to fix my wife's Jeep Grand
Cherokee Overland HVAC blend doors. I was a little skeptical about cutting away
inside the dash and glove box. However, I thought about the money I was saving
and quickly overcame those fears.
As I began cutting with my handy Dremel Tools, I began to realize just how easy
the repair was going to be. I popped everything in and everything tested
perfectly (testing equipment included!). I hooked it up and whoops it didn't
work because of my error. Customer Service was excellent and I quickly got
everything working again. Perfectly. Impressive work gentlemen!
As a side-note, I did my patch-up work with Bondo and paint and it looks like
it came this way stock! Thanks again Heatertreater!

Hi Chris:
Just wanted you to know my husband installed the Jeep Grand Cherokee Blend Door yesterday in our jeep and it works like a charm. Took him a little over an hour but he took his time and cleaned everything really good. Thank you for such a good product. Saved us alot of money.
Linda & Randy
Just thought you would enjoy hearing another success story from
installing and using your product and technical know-how.
As you suggested, got it up to operating temp, opened up the
unsealed box and the touched the core and it was toasty. Then went
through the diagnostics on the re-circ door and "bingo"...laying as
flat as can be.
Took the 'ol Jeep out for a spin last night in about 12 degree
weather and we had interior heat. Wow....did that feel nice!
My apologies for being so wordy....just thought you would like to
know what another one of us "out there" had on our mind.
Steve
What a brilliant
product!
To be honest we weren't
sure it would work but didn't want to pay the £1500 we had been quoted, but
this is a great fix.
The instructions were
easy to follow, and the dremel bit supplied worked in our 12v battery drill!
Now all heaters work
again and we are delighted!!
Many thanks
Hello,
I bought your product about a year or more ago for my Jeep Grand Cherokee. The Heater didn't work on the passenger side. I had called the dealer and got a quote on how much it was going to cost to have them "fix" the problem. $1295.00. (that price was a year ago) I told them they were crazy. So I figured I'd give your product a try. I have been putting it off and putting it off like I said for over a year. Dreading doing it thinking it was going to be a pain-in-the-ass to do. Well, this past Sunday the weather was great and I decided to do-the-deal, thinking it was going to be an all day project. In less than an hour I was finished, changing the doors out was a breeze. I know this sounds like a advertisment for ya'll but I just want to tell you Thanks. Great Product!!!!
DavidHi, I just finished replacing the broken blend doors on my 2000
Jeep Grand Cherokee with your product. I was shocked at how flimsy the
original doors were. Chrysler should be ashamed that the installed those
things. I want to say thank you for your product and that the cost sure beats
the $1200 price tag that I was quoted at a shop. Again thanks so much.
Sincerely,
Richard
You guys are great! The product is awesome,
shipping was fast. I bought it late sunday night, received it yesterday and

I also received a $1500 quote but you guys definitely saved the day. THANK YOU

I just finished the install on my
Explorer, Took a little longer for me I couldn't get the door out.
I finally broke out enough that the bottom pin broke. Works excellent and
I am impressed with your cleverness. I am a millwright, fabricator
and a welder and I love to come up with new ways to do things. But this
is awesome for the $ savings. You must be a great mechanic and engineer.
Thanks Very Much and I am telling
all my ford buddies and you may hear from me again.

Chris,
Got the parts and did the
repair today. It took me 1 hour and some of that was looking for a flashlight!
The instructions were spot on and my wife is happy to have her heat back! I'm
gonna spread the word about your products...now...got a fix for the heated
seats?LOL!!
Seriously,
Thank you!!!
Chip
I just wanted to say thank you for the product "heater Treater" that
you have offered. I went the entire winter without heat because of the faulty
factory system.
Although I found it very intimidating as not being a mechanic, your product and
directions made the installation very simple and I felt comfortable performing
this on my own. As a person who does not "work under the hood" it
took me a total of 1 hour for the replacement including the drilling out of the
"wall".
You have a superb alternative to taking the vehicle to a dealer which yes, did
quote me around $1100.00 for the fix.
Plus, now I am finding all kinds of uses for my dremel which I would never have
bought otherwise.
Anyways, I just wanted to say thank you for giving me the means to accomplish
this on my own.

just wanted to thank you for your product. it was so easy to do and didnt even need flex shaft for dremel tool. you have saved hard working people lots of money and headaches. i will tell anyone who needs help with theirs about heater treater.
Hi Chris, You were exactly right !! I checked it on the ride home from work and had no cruise control. I looked under the hood thinking I wouldn't be able to see it but I did find the disconnected vacuum hose !!! Excellent !!! I will definitely keep you as a favorite!!!!! Thanks again, Jim.
My
1997 Ford Explorer had a problem in that the heat could not be turned
off and the A/C could not be turned on. You could turn off the fan but
still could feel the heat on your feet from the floor vents. The Ford
dealer quoted me a price of over $1000 to fix it.
I
placed my order for your repair kit Friday night, got my package Monday
afternoon, my father-in-law and my son made the repair in about 2 hours
Tuesday morning. I finally got the heat to quit and the a/c works.
Many thanks.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
After getting a $1,200 estimate to replace my ’97 Expedition
blend door motor (the Dealer mechanic said that was the computer diagnostic
code) I spent nearly two hours on the internet trying to find just the right
hammer to fix the motor. My search ended when I came across HeaterTreater. I
watched your video and inside of two hours had the nicest cool air pouring out
of a hole in the back of my glove box. I made a mistake though…I stuck my
face in the hole to feel the cold air (it was 97º outside) and got a mouthful of
Dremmel-dust! Ptttouy! What I found wrong was the door socket was broken, not
the motor. My pieces looked very much like your pieces. So I’ve screwed
shut the door over the heater coil and duck tapped the life out of it and have
just ordered your nifty door. The only problem that I face on reassembly is the
defroster vacuum shaft that came off while pulling out the plenum which I
modified with my trusty hacksaw blade. Good call. I did do one thing different
than your video. I did not cut the floor plenum. I bent it out of the way and I
used a bungee cord fastened to my seat belt clips and wrapped around the floor
plenum to hold it out of the way. Otherwise, I need a lot of fingers to count
the money you saved me with your videos and look forward the door’s
arrival. I’ve already shared your links with a couple of friends!
Thanks again!
Got it installed the day after I received it!
Thanks! It will dramatically increase the resale value of the Navigator, way
more than I paid for the part.
I didn’t see any bits of broken black plastic when I
removed the motor (but I had faith because of the symptoms and the sound it
made when moving from heat to cold), so it was very satisfying when I removed the
old door and it easily came out because the bottom of the shaft was in 4 pieces—confirmation!
Great instructions and video. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Now
I’m ticked at myself for living with no heat for 3 years…
Thanks for having created the Heater Treater. Your website info and videos were excellent … diagnosed the problem with our GC’s heater and outlined installation well. I ordered the blend door kit Thursday afternoon … It arrived Saturday … and I installed it on Sunday. Followed your instructions (which were excellent and required only a bit of extra thinking a couple of times). In the end, was one of the smoothest installation and repairs that I’ve ever done. The blend doors and axel are of super quality … fit and operation is precise and smooth. Cutting the box exactly as you prescribed was fairly easy … I used a combination of hot box knife, small hack saw blade & drilling of line of holes to do inside partition … Most important, your process worked exactly as you said it would. Only things that would have helped knowing more clearly were ... (1) that needed to carefully cut out center hole so plastic spacer would slide snugly in-place ... (2) that it’s best to have blend doors in down position before final sealing of the box with tape ... much easier to reattach the motor. But a little thinking cleared up those points. Was also very glad that you said may need to disconnect the battery to reset the computer (so the blend doors would operate again). All in all … superb … and a tremendous cost saver. The heater and AC are operating perfectly now.
Thanks again and all the best,
Mike
